What is the Southern Scribe Society?

The Southern Scribe Society is a regional writing group based in North Georgia.  Think of it as a home for us to get ideas and feedback from one another. It's a place to commiserate on our struggles and celebrate our wins.  SSS is more of a support group than a critique group, but we do occasionally exchange work. We pride ourselves on our collaborative nature. 

The Southern Scribe Society also hosts a yearly writing retreat in the mountains for a long weekend of rest and writing.

We also are involved in several regional writing and author events. 

We meet monthly at R.T. Jones Memorial Library in Canton. GA.

All genres are welcome.
